[[BRASSICALES series is mainly focused on exploring the impact of digital manipulation on contemporary image making. How relevant reality is in the pursue of a beautiful photograph? When I insert out of scale broccolis on my landscapes images I find the ensamble very plausible and real.

I guess there is some humour in this constructed reality, a melancholic sense of belonging that create an ambiguous visual narrative that is both playful and poetic. These photographs explore the gap between what we look at and what we believe we see.

We live in an era of fake news, political polarization and algorithms. Every day we are overwhelmed by beautiful images. As I build these landscapes I ask for a second look, for a longer observation. I offer a renewed perspective of a wider place within the world, leaving some space for the hidden and the unnoticed. My works are fragments of memory and imagination. Photographs testify I have been there, I am not negotiating uncertainty. It is just a new reality, where fiction distorts fact.///A série BRASSICALES tem como foco principal a exploração do impacto da manipulação digital na criação de imagens contemporâneas. Quão relevante é a realidade na busca de uma bela fotografia? Quando insiro brócolis fora de escala nas minhas paisagens, acho o conjunto plausível e real.

Vejo algum humor nessa realidade construída, um sentimento melancólico de pertencimento que cria uma narrativa visual ambígua que é ao mesmo tempo lúdica e poética. Essas fotografias exploram a lacuna entre o que olhamos e o que acreditamos ver.

Vivemos em uma era de notícias falsas, polarização política e algoritmos. Todos os dias somos surpreendidos por belas imagens. Ao construir essas paisagens solicito um segundo olhar, uma observação mais longa. Ofereço uma perspectiva renovada de um lugar mais amplo no mundo, deixando algum espaço para aquilo que passa oculto e despercebido. Minhas obras são fragmentos de memória e imaginação. Fotografias testemunham que estive lá, não estou negociando incertezas. É apenas uma nova realidade, onde a ficção distorce o fato.]]
