[[WINDS series is a work in progress, consisting of 7 pieces so far - which may or may not be dissolved in water to generate a new record of its ephemerality.

Minimal interventions using surgical suture and copper wire were performed on sheets of tracing paper of various weights, as an invisible seam.

The initial objective was to create non-photographable objects, since this is the subject that triggered the investigation process: a study of ocean currents and the winds that act under and above the water line. I aim to represent the unrepresentable with sheets of paper that fill three-dimensional space.

Material presence should be suggested, not imposed. There is more about feeling the movements than actually seeing them.

Half of the action takes place below the surface of the paper, in a cause/effect game of counterbalanced forces.

The invented method requires each finished piece to remain flat and free from ripples, as the surface of the sea appears to be.

Each sheet of paper floats on a pair of pins, maintaining an even distance to the base, regardless of the action happening on either side.

Here, continuous movements of the hand in communion with the rhythm of nature generate a body that swims in the air or flies under water. The process transforms a powerful force into an ethereal index that then takes on a life of its own.///A série VENTOS é um trabalho em andamento, composto por 7 peças até o momento - que podem ou não serem dissolvidas em água com o objetivo de se gerar um novo registro de sua efemeridade.

Intervenções mínimas usando sutura cirúrgica e fio de cobre foram realizadas em folhas de papel vegetal de várias gramaturas, como uma costura do invisível.

O objetivo inicial era criar objetos não-fotografáveis, uma vez que assim o é esse assunto que desencadeou o processo de investigação: um estudo das correntes oceânicas e sua relação com o vento que age acima e abaixo da linha d’agua. Uma tentativa de representar o irrepresentável com lâminas de papel que preenchem o espaço tridimensional.

A presença material deveria ser sugerida, não imposta. Aqui fala-se mais sobre sentir do que efetivamente ver os movimentos.

Metade da ação acontece abaixo da superfície do papel, em um jogo de causa / efeito de forças contrabalançadas.

O método inventado requer que cada peça acabada permaneça plana e livre de ondulações, como assim parece ser a superfície do mar.

Cada folha de papel flutua em um par de alfinetes, mantendo uma distância uniforme até a base, independente da ação que acontece em ambos os lados.

Aqui movimentos contínuos da mão em comunhão com o ritmo da natureza geram um corpo que nada no ar ou voa sob a água. O processo transforma uma força poderosa em um índice etéreo que então adquire vida própria.]]
